We had to drag ourselves out of bed, down to breakfast, and out to the bus by 7:15 this morning, so we had to get up at 6:30, only having gotten about 5 hours of sleep. We first took a long bus ride to Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. After taking an hour-long tour of Fenway, led by a literally insane tour guide - I'll post the video later - we hopped back on the bus and rode to Paul Revere's house, the oldest house in Boston and the start of the liberty trail. From there, we visited the Olde North Church, an olde cemetary, and Mike's Olde Pastry Shoppe. After the walk, we went to Quincy market again to get lunch. I had Pad Thai. Next, we took the bus to the campus of Boston College and took a tour. I didn't like it because I felt it was too conservative and "artificial". Not to mention it cost more than Harvard! After the tour, we travelled to the U.S.S. Constitution, a large comissioned frigate launched in 1797. Our group didn't really have time to learn about the full historical significance of the vessel because we were only at the boat for five or so minutes. After that, we took the bus to the Spirit of Boston, a huge boat with dinner tables on it. After the boat was full, it left the dock. It had a buffet where we got food for dinner and ate at the tables. After we were done, a DJ started mixing music. The boat had a dance floor, some of us busted some moves, and the boat finally landed back at the dock. We got off, walked back to the bus, and rode back to the hotel. Now it's lights out and Iain is standing creepily staring through the window on the other side of the exit door of the hotel hallway making sure people don't get out. It's kinda scary.
